PRESIDENT & CEO

Ms. Mia Parton illustrates the pinnacle of excellence in civil engineering and project management. With a successful career spanning more than 17 years, she has carved a distinguished path in the engineering design and construction industry, leaving a mark on both the private and public sectors.

 

As President & CEO of Aeparmia Engineering, PLLC, a firm she founded in 2017, she brings expertise to the table, seamlessly orchestrating multi-million-dollar infrastructure projects across Texas. Her visionary leadership has propelled the successful execution of a myriad of projects, such as power utilities, wireless and wireline telecommunication, site development, water and wastewater distribution systems, utility coordination, subsurface utility engineering (SUE), traffic control plans, as well as complex permitting projects.

 

Mia’s mastery extends beyond technical mastery; she is a strategic thinker deeply attuned to the intricate landscape of local, state, and federal standards and regulations. Her comprehensive understanding has facilitated the acquisition of permits from entities such as the City of Austin, TxDOT, TCEQ, Railroads, and other various cities and counties.

 

In addition to her professional achievements, Mia is an advocate for community engagement and industry advancement. She has served on the boards of non-profit organizations, assumed leadership roles in prestigious associations like the American Society of Highway Engineers Austin Chapter Board Member, the National Association of Corrosion Engineers (NACE) Austin Chapter Committee Vice Chair, American Water Works Association National Health, Safety and Environment Committee chair, Austin Habitat for Humanity Board member and Chair of the real estate committee, as well as serving on the City of Austin Water and Wastewater Commissioner, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to driving positive change.

 

in 2024, Mia has been selected as a Tory Burch Fellow for the 2024 Tory Burch Foundation Fellowship Program. This prestigious program recognizes and supports extraordinary women entrepreneurs who are making a significant impact in their industries. Mia’s dedication to innovation, sustainability, and leadership has earned her this incredible honor.

 

Mia is also dedicated to her family and children, so in her free time, she spends it with her family at Parks and after-school activities, not to mention her dedication to clearing her mind by spending time with the family’s adorable cats and various plants. She regularly plays tennis and owns a set of Golf clubs that she would like to use more often.

EDUCATION

Mia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington. She is a licensed Professional Engineer (P.E.) and a certified Project Management Professional (PMP®), showcasing her dedication to upholding the highest standards of professional competence. Continuously striving for excellence, Mia continues to advance her knowledge of industry standards and technologies through her activity in professional organizations and obtaining certifications.

EXPERIENCE

Throughout her career, Mia has spearheaded various complex projects, encompassing water and wastewater management, land development, and dry utilities. Her comprehensive skill set encompasses every facet of project execution, from meticulous engineering reports and construction plans to rigorous quality control measures and precise cost estimating. Mia’s unique advantage lies in her multifaceted experience, having seamlessly transitioned between roles in government agencies and consulting firms, thereby offering invaluable insights and delivering exceptional results.
